Hey there all! Welcome to my blog! Shiny isn't it? It's some electronic gizmo I haven't fully gotten the hang of yet, but give it a few weeks--I'll tame it into submission. Kristina and I had quite the laugh this afternoon trying to figure out how the whole layout deal worked, turns out copy/paste and smooth talking don't always work on electronic devices. For some reason they just refuse to listen...And to think we both graduated from Troy Tech. Go us. At this stage, I'm asking myself why and when I decided a blog was a good idea. Probably the first mention of it was back in April when Monique said she wanted some way to know that I was still alive on a day-to-day basis while thousands of miles away. Somewhere along the way the idea stuck so here I am! Opening my thoughts to whoever has internet and any shred of interest.
Sitting here on my futon surrounded by that with which I am familiar, it's hard to even imagine being a whole continent and ocean away. Or that this will be my only opportunity for English(other than talking to you lovely people). Everything (EVERYTHING!!!! AH!) will be in Spanish. alkfj; I need to start studying that ahora. That's a full two weeks away though. For the time being I'm surrounded by the familiar, seeing friends, and at home. The future bring what it will, for now I am happy. And this blog? A way to keep in touch with all y'all lovely people while I am gone and share a bit of what I'm up to so you can reel in jealousy. Just kidding. Hopefully it will be an encouragement to take a chance and study abroad yourselves though, travelling and being open to new perspectives are always good things. Please keep me updated as to what you've been up to! I don't care how lame it sounds, any note from home will be more than appreciated!
Unless anything truly exciting happens during break(and unless you're counting cooking, it's looking like a no at this point) it looks like I'll put this down and pick it up again in a couple of weeks once I'm in Spain. Catch ya later!
